Hello world!
The first thing I think when I wake up in the morning. I think about how privileged I am to be able to do what I do for a living, creating work that brightens someones day, makes them think or enhances a special event.
So I wanted to answer a question I often get, "What inspires you?" and also, "how do you come up with your ideas?". There are so many ways I could answer this. So many things inspire me to use my design thinking skills to solve graphic challenges and create bold designs, but I wanted to think about this on a local, everyday level, so I'm listing the 5 things that inspire me daily.
Bright flowers - I love to visit gardens and experience all the fresh blooms on display. I will take heaps of photos and use them as colour references and combos, there is such an inspiring array of colour in nature.
Birds - I love to watch the birds in my garden (yes I do have a bird feeder, bath and cosy spot for them to rest). They are just so free and some sport the most amazing colour combos!
My daily walks - I love being out in nature, but even a couple of turns around the block can provide textures, patterns and colours to inspire a new design.
Galleries - I love love love going to new exhibits and seeing other designers and creatives use of colour! I always try to visit at least once a week.
Street Art - Have you seen the amazing colours in street murals and art in the laneways? Amazing and vibrant art that speaks with a purpose, I am always looking for new shapes and designs in street art design.
So that's just a little taste of daily inspiration! Let me know what yours are if you feel like dropping a line :)

I'm really loving your blog! Please write more :)
So much food for thought here 🤔
